invest’11, the meeting point for independent asset managers in the Suisse Romande area

The fourth edition of the invest forum has closed its doors on the 22nd of September. This major event in Geneva’s financial agenda has encountered an unprecedented success with the presence of over 1500 asset management professionals among which a majority of independent asset managers.

Alexandre Bonnard, chairman of the invest’11 organizational committee  said : «  The industry will encounter many legislative and regulatory changes  in the months ahead. The message sent by the FINMA and KPMG’s experts is clear : in order to cope with them, independent asset managers will need additional training and information. As Patrick Dorner, Head of the Swiss Association of Asset managers (ASG),  mentioned the invest forum in this context is an essential and unifying event for the industry».

Beyond being a mere meeting point for the providers of services and products on the one hand and asset managers on the other hand, invest’11 has offered a complete programm of conferences, panel discussions and social events. Spanning from strategic asset allocation presentations with Patrick Artus and Andrea Höfert to the challenges of social networking. From the address of Christoph Blocher to the report of the Federal police on money laundering and the conference of John Armitage, manager of Egerton Capital, invest offered a very diversified programme completed by over 25 conferences and panels. On the entertainment side, the Rudra-Béjart school overwhelmed the audience with a tantalizing performance.
